DRAG at piano bar
Since joining the team in 2016 our queens have delivered the glitter and personality we pride ourselves on at Piano Bar. And we’ve never, ever looked back.
Due to popular demand our queens are a regular fixture across our calendars, often shimmying down the highway between our Geelong and Colac venues. Each event is completely different to the next, contact us if you’d like some help deciding which one is right for your group.

PIANO BAR queens
Our queens are famed world over and rightfully synonymous with kicking up your heels and dancing the night away - these messes in dresses love nothing more than a good party!
Let's meet the Piano Bar royal family.
A busy working mum of two, Art loves creating fabulous wigs and headpieces out of ordinary objects, most often with her feline offspring Pickles and Effy by her side (and subsequently covered in glitter, like everything else). The reigning Queen of Australia and Melbourne Drag Performer of the year thrives on completely transforming herself - preferably into something different every night of the week. Her extravagant costumes and make up designs have made her a much anticipated regular at RuPaul’s DragCon, both in LA and NY. You might recognise her mug from The Bachelor and the AAMI ad too - hold onto your boa, babe!
Isis Avis Loren
Isis - Egyptian goddess of life and magic, and drag extraordinaire. Recently taking out Best Costumier and Miss Congeniality at the Melbourne Drag Awards, this sweetheart certainly knows her way around a sewing machine, clothing much of the elite Melbourne drag scene in her Haus of Loren creations. She recently costumed for and performed at Amsterdam’s Milkshake Festival and Sydney Mardi Gras, all while parenting two whippets (who have the most enviable dog wardrobe EVER - couture care of mum, naturally) and busying her glamorous hands with gardening.
Our dancing queen! From pirouettes and pointe shoes to twerking and twirling this classically trained ballerina isn’t joking when she says she’s a handful! Jemima took out Melbourne’s 2019 Choreographer of the Year and her high energy shows have made her a crowd favourite worldwide, including on the main stage at Amsterdam’s illustrious Milkshake festival. Jemima once infamously slid head first on her stomach down the steps of the Atheneum Theatre during a performance at White Night, then rose to her feet and kept on dancing - what a pro!
Accurately referred to as ‘The Queen of all Trades’, Malibu is a sound engineer, DJ, stage manager and the producer of our variety show Piano Bar’s Got Talent ... though arguably their most coveted skill is an incredible knack for finding dogs and pancakes wherever they go. Taking out the Melbourne Drag Awards Support Person of the Year two years running, Malibu is passionate about aligning with events and people close to their heart - advocating for queer youth in particular. Malibu is as integral behind the scenes as they are on stage when playing all of your favourite bops!
Costume designer to the demigods and officially the tallest drag queen in captivity, Pashion took out Bitch of the Year at the 2019 Melbourne Drag Awards and true to form she’s never too far from the piping hot gossip - just ask her. Creating pieces for DragCon LA & NY, Coles Supermarkets, Sydney Mardi Gras and The Broken Heel festival, her threads and quick wit are adored worldwide. Just don’t be surprised if they arrive covered in cat hair from her assistants/babies Bob and Snips ...
And before you ask, with the hair and heels on she is well over 7ft.
Hailing from across the pond and regularly jetting back for sold out shows and events across Australasia, this disco loving Kiwi is known for never staying in one spot for too long and her killer costuming skills - even referred to as a ‘Wellington icon’ by the mayors for her pioneering work in the LGBT community. After studying fashion at the Bowerman School of Design she went on to freelance. Pollyfilla Productions recently took out Best Drag Related Business at the 2019 Melbourne Drag Awards and Polly herself was inducted into the MDA hall of fame at the inaugural awards - an icon!
The Woo Girl of your dreams, often appearing through a haze of baby pink feathers, Sasha is a showgirl through and through. A diva drawn to useless facts and all things sparkly she is our trivia hostess with the mostess who prides herself on asking the big questions, and serving face while doing so. A prominent member of the Melbourne drag scene and the award winning Size Queens - that she also choreographs - this dancing queen is a sequin covered, rhinestoned ball of energy and when she’s not impersonating pop royalty she’s spoiling her two cocker spaniels rotten!
Since taking out Best New Talent at the Melbourne Drag awards Max has been non-stop cartwheeling her way onto every stage in her path. Heavily influenced by current pop goddesses and renown for delivering the latest anthems in true Max style, don’t expect to see this death-dropping, high-kicking diva stay in one spot for too long! Off the stage you’ll find Max playing with her cat Xander, learning the choreo to Lady Gaga’s latest release ... and casually breaking bed bases while flipping onto them.
Ballarat local and TikTok extraordinaire, Gabriella Labucci is well acquainted with the spotlight ... and she belongs there. You can find this wild child co-hosting the Ballarat based LaNCE TV - broadcast on channel 31 - where she has been camping it up since the very inception of the show. Between being a busy, social media consumer’s dream she pops up at festivals such as Daylesford’s Chillout and Ballan Autumn Festival. And yes, her mum really does have a Blundies tattoo ... if you know you know (and if you don’t, then you need to come to a Gabriella gig to find out).
The ever delightful - and devilishly funny - Rubi Taboo has been honing her skills for years throughout Melbourne’s venues, and is no stranger to hosting the house down. A powerhouse queen, always dressed to the 9s and ready to lip synch for her life, we can’t get enough. This dancing clown is a proud member of the Haus of Handful and it shows the second she hits the stage - quite simply, she believes in the power of drag ... and we believe in the power of Rubi! Goodbye Ruby Tuesday, hello Rubi every day.
